Darfur Female Child Raped in Kakuma Refugee Camp

A 13-year-old refugee girl from Darfur was raped by a Somali national at the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.
In an interview with Sudan Radio Service on Wednesday, the girl’s brother said that the rapist took advantage of the family’s absence and he sexually assaulted her.
The girl suffered injuries and has been taken to hospital. The culprit has reportedly been freed, he said.
There are about 13,000 refugees in the Kakuma refugee camp, according to the UNHCR.
