Lakes MP Urges Women to Fight For Their Rights Within the Law

20 May 2010 - (Juba) – The MP for Matangai in Lakes state is calling on women to use the law to continue fighting for their rights in southern Sudan.
Madam Adak Costa Mapuor spoke to SRS in Juba on Wednesday.
[Adak Costa Mapuor]: “What I would like to say to the women is that rights are not given, rights are claimed. Women should not keep quiet, they should continue raising their voices, claiming their rights and particularly their legal rights because legal protection offers the best protection for them to really bring up children in a good environment. So, I really want to tell women that they should continue fighting for their rights within the context of the law.”
Adak Costa Mapuor was speaking to SRS in Juba.
