One Person Killed By LRA in WES

1st March 2011 – (Yambio) – At least one person was killed and several others injured by the Ugandan Lord’s Resistance Army in Riribodo in Western Equatoria state on Sunday.

The minister for information in the government of Western Equatoria state, Gibson Bullen Wande confirmed the incident in an interview with SRS on Tuesday from Yambio.

[Gibson Bullen Wande]: “On Sunday the LRA attacked Riribodo killing one person. The government has deployed the necessary security services in all the payams and bumas, and in all areas But these LRA do not come to these areas ,what they do is they come to the bush hiding , then they attack the people and escape . We will put all the protective mechanism to see how we can protect the people of western Equatoria. But if they come in bandits like this, they maneuver, attack and run to Congo.”

The minister for information in the government of Western Equatoria, Gibson Bullen Wande was speaking to SRS from Yambio on Tuesday.
