Registration Preparations In WES

12 November 2010 – (Yambio) – Preparations for the referendum registration scheduled to start on Monday are in top gear in Western Equatoria state.

The chairman of the Referendum State High Committee Professor Severino Barnaba Farajalla speaking to SRS from Yambio said that registration material will be in the centers before the exercise begins.

[Severio Barnaba Farajalla]: “By Monday or Sunday our expectation is that all the material should be in each center so that we start the work of registration on Monday effectively throughout the state. Two or three persons were sent from here to Juba to undergo training to be able to train T-O-T. They came back and they in-turn trained four persons from each county that is a total of forty persons throughout the state. Then these people went back to their counties headquarters and trained. They have asked three people from each center and depending on the number of centers in each county to come and be given two days of intensive training of how to conduct the registration exercise.”

Western Equatoria state has more than one hundred and eighty seven registration centers.
