Rumbek Receives Registration Training

12 November 2010 – (Rumbek) – A six-day workshop to train registration officers in Rumbek East county in Lakes state ended on Wednesday.

Speaking to SRS at the close of the workshop, the chairperson of the referendum sub-committee in the county Madong William Mading said that the trainees will be deployed to the registration centers on the 12th of November.

[Madong William Mading]: “They will report to the centers on the 12th and they will stay in the centers until they receive the materials. As a sub-committee for Rumbek county we are going to give them sitting material and writing materials. Some of them may use their own means of transport and the transport available with us can also help the county like I got the one CDF vehicle, referendum vehicles for Rumbek’s county and plus other vehicles which shall be hired by us the same committee in delivering the materials.”

Mading called on chiefs and the people of Rumbek to support and cooperate with the registration officers to ensure the success of the exercise.

The workshop was attended by ninety three participants who will be allocated to the thirty one registration centers in Rumbek East county.
